General Overview of Mark Reporting Seminar - MWSGMI

How best should a school record marks within the Maplewood System?
This seminar examines the difference between Topic Based and
Conventional Marks along with their different utilities. From the
flexibility of Topic Based marks, to Classroom Manager through to
updating the students’ transcripts, participants of this seminar
shall discuss the methods of mark entry available with a simple
click of the mouse. Specific topics include: Conventional Mark
Entry, Defining Topic Based Marks, Topic Based Marks and the
relationship to Classroom Manager, Comments, Automatic Transcript
Update, Mark Reporting and mark utilities.
Conventional Mark Reporting Seminar - MWSCMI

The school has decided to use Conventional Marks as the mark entry
method and this seminar will explore the possibilities available to
them. From the early set up stages, to mark verification and
analysis through to updating the students’ transcripts en masse,
this half-day session will have participants ready to receive an A+
in Mark Entry. Specific topics include: defining Letter Grades,
Comments, Mark Entry, Mark Calculations (Averages, Means, Medium)
Automatic Transcript Update, Statistical Analysis, Markbook and
custom mark report generation.

half-day seminar. Participants of this workshop will begin with the
set up, then work their way through to the selection and finally
mark entry processes. Maplewood dependencies are discussed and best
practices shared to ready a school for the preparation, production
and printing of the Ontario Provincial Report Cards. Specific topics

This seminar is designed for schools that have previously produced
the Ontario Provincial Report Cards through Maplewood and who are
seeking to customize the mark entry process. From the Reportable
Flag to the title of a Term, participants will gain a deeper
understanding of the mechanisms in place when producing the reports.
Specific topics include: Defining Terms, Locking Terms/Topics,
Comments, Letter Grades, Notices, Incomplete Reports, Printing
Report Cards and Mapping to Conventional.
Classroom Manager Teacher Seminar - MWBTMB
Recommended Participants: Teachers who will train their peers
Duration: Half Day
Level: Intermediate
The format of the Train the Trainer session is designed to give key
teaching personnel the tools required to best utilize the Classroom
Manager program from a Teacher’s perspective. The Achievement
functions as well as other functions available to teachers within
this powerful application will be discussed. Specific topics
include: Achievement Student, Achievement Class, mark and comment
entry, Learning skills, the letter box, Details, Class Statistics,
Overrides and Student Records.
Classroom Manager Markbook Seminar - MWBTGI

Still using another application to enter and track student
evaluation and then entering the marks into Classroom Manager? With
the integrated Markbook, this repetitive and unnecessary practice is
removed. Participants will learn how to design and customize a mark
book within Classroom Manager. Ease of entry, the flexibility of
weighting and reporting capabilities will be explored during this
hands-on workshop. Specific topics include: Designing the Markbook,
Teacher defined comments, weighting, printing, overwriting,
statistics and integration with the main Maplewood system.
Examination Scheduling - MWSEXB

Level: Beginner
Tucked within the Maplewood Secondary System is a
powerful application that is often overlooked. With a
few simple clicks of the mouse, an entire school's
examination schedule may be generated. Participants of
this seminar will gain the skills and confidence
necessary to successfully prepare a school for an
examination period. Specific topics include: Exam
Parameters, Assigning Exams, Courses file, students with
exam conflicts, reports and teacher's marking loads.
