Liaison Officer - MWELII
Recommended Participants:
Person responsible at the board level for Maplewood support
Duration:Three Full Days
Level:Intermediate/Beginner
This seminar is specifically designed to ready the
participants to be the main Maplewood contact for a
group of elementary schools within a school board.
Once trained, and if requested by the board, Liaison
Officers permit a board to be eligible for a
reduction in their annual Maplewood
ServicePlus fees. Focusing on board-wide continuity and
support, this three-day seminar over three days
offers participants the opportunity to gain an
in-depth knowledge of the Elementary Maplewood
System. Specific topics include: School Set up,
Student Records, Staff Records, Custom Fields and
Tables, Attendance, Mark Reporting, Preparing for a
New School Year, Print Lists, Agency Reports,
Inquiry, Sort, Report Builder, Maintenance,
Navigating the Maplewood Website, Updates,
Supporting schools and Database Layout.
Please note: Participants with
a month or more of experience with the Maplewood
system will benefit more from the session than a new
user.
System Supervisor - MWSSYI
Recommended Participants: Secondary Guidance
Counselors/Student Services
Duration: Three Full Days
Level: Intermediate/Beginner
This seminar is specifically designed to ready the
participants to be the main Maplewood contact for a
group of secondary schools within a school board.
Once trained, and if requested by the board, the
System Supervisor permits a board to be eligible for

Trouble Shooting - MWBTSI
Recommended Participants:
Experienced Liaison Officers and System Supervisors
Duration: Full Day
Level: Intermediate
Knowing the basics of the Maplewood Systems is one
skill, however, effectively assessing and solving
school issues, are definite niche skills. During
this seminar, system supervisors and Liaison
Officers will have the opportunity to discuss and
re-create common and uncommon school errors. The
thought process and approach that has been proven to
be most effective will be discussed and reviewed.
Train the Maplewood Trainer - MWBTTA
Recommended Participants:
Experienced Liaison Officers and System Supervisors
Duration: Half Day
Level: Advanced
Having attended a number of Maplewood seminars the
school board Experienced Liaison Officers and System
Supervisors are ready to offer their own Maplewood
seminars. The specific topics that should be
covered, how best to deliver the information and
finally how to ensure that the information being
disseminated is correct are discussed. During this
half day session, a Maplewood facilitator, along
with experienced Liaison Officers and/or System
Supervisors, will share and plan for effectively
delivering their own Maplewood instructional
sessions.
